We booked this trip for an afternoon cruise ship visit. Due to high winds and tendering ashore problems we were nearly 2 hours late but with the aid of telephone updates, they were still waiting for us and our trip went ahead as planned. The lady who run Santorini Karavas Travel was amazing and our driver was excellent with good English and local knowledge. He stopped at three panoramic view points which were stunning, and then gave us an hour and a half to explore the incredibly beautiful town of Oia. We then met back at our rendezvous for the return by a different road, arriving back in Thera at sunset.
Altogether a memorable three hours at a very reasonable price compared with the Ship’s shore excursion program.
An absolute highlight of our seventeen-day cruise from Rome to Istanbul was our visit to Santorini thanks to Karavas Travel. My wife had polio when she was young and uses a wheelchair and crutches. After seeing pictures of Santorini for years we thought it was cliffs and hills and not accessible.
WE WERE WRONG!! We booked an accessible Santorini tour for our party of four with Karavas Travel and it far exceeded any expectations. Dina assisted us from start to finish explaining the tram system and introduced us to Thomas our tour guide/driver and “do everything” person. We booked the four-hour tour but added on two hours because there was so much to see and visit. This was not a windshield tour! Oia was amazing as we walked around the area, followed by scenic stops and walks overlooking the sea in several directions. We had a great lunch at the Black Beach and then off to the monastery on the top of Santorini, and then the Old Town and a drink. Wonderful tour thanks to Karavas!! Worth every penny or Euro!!
We’ve taken a number of tours on our cruise to the Greek islands and this tour of Santorini is by far the best. To start with, the tour vehicle is a 20 person Mercedes and is modern, clean and comfortable. The best part of the tour, however, was our fabulous guide George. George was very friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. He took very good care of the group and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Santorini and of every site we visited. He knows exactly where to go and where to stand to take the best photos and always volunteers to take pics of us by each of the iconic landmarks.
It was a memorable tour and we would gladly and definitely do it again!

Our driver Tomas was incredibly helpful and considerate, stopping at places where she would be able to walk and not feel like we missed out on anything. This was a spectacular experience. We only had one day in Santorini, but we feel so satisfied. We highly recommend this tour to others! They went above and beyond in making sure we were all comfortable and well-informed.
There were very nice touches as well such as providing cold water and informing us of public restrooms and a great gelato spot with ample time to enjoy all our stops!

We booked a accessible private tour as I am in a wheelchair and this tour was wonderful the knowledge and helpfulness of our driver/tour guide Tomas made the day great to see the areas of Santorini that I would not be able to see on a coach tour.
The last visit was the winery of Argyros Estate and we had great time trying the wines and purchased some to take home maybe or drink in Santorini.

Enjoyed this small group tour as compared with busload of people. George our tour guide was excellent, speaks very fluent English, attentive, knowledgeable and fun. He was able to describe each place as well as took our photos. We were able to see everything included in the Itinerary and had time to spare, that otherwise we won’t be able to do on our own due to limited time with the cruise ship.
George and Dina both are outstanding in customer service, highly recommended.
Our driver Thomas was excellent with the history of the island and Greece. Dina is at the office has long family history on the island. The tour was great!! We got a great view. We are here at first of May. Very small crowds without the boards of cruise ships.
We HIGHLY recommend them for any tour. They also go to the volcano and boat tours.
Our driver took us around the island stopping along the way at the most scenic locations. He was personable and kind, offering to help us out of the car as we are in our 70s.
He also took into consideration our mobility, often dropping us off at one end of the street and picking us up at the other end. He showed us where the locals live – it was perfect for us!

He took us to all the best scenic locales as well as Red Beach, Black Beach and the ancient excavation site. Also recommended a great Greek Taverna for lunch.

The entire experience was great. We waited a bit for the last group to show and when they didn’t we got a private tour. The owner also gave us extra time for more sights at no cost. So much could go wrong outside of their control. Cable car delays are possible so always give your self time to get up. What is nice the owner will wait a little and do their best to get everyone on the tour.

I decided to book this tour when I was in Cyprus the day before and am very happy with my decision. Before my cruise arrived at Santorini, I had already received the confirmation email and additional message from Dina regarding the pickup time at 2pm and location despite the last-minute booking with less than 24 hours before the tour. Dina was also very quick in responding to my messages prior to arrival. When we arrived at the top of the cable car station early at around 1:30pm, the driver was already waiting there with a sign that had my name and 2 other passengers’ names.
We stopped briefly at his office on our way walking from the station to the van to use the restroom, in addition to receiving a warm welcome along with a bottled water and a map from Dina. They even had a car seat for my 3-year-old nephew ready to be placed onto the van. The driver was very attentive and provided good information throughout our drive to the 3 scenic stops before arriving at Oja, where we were given almost 2 hours free time to explore on our own.
We couldn’t have had such a great experience during our short stay in Santorini if we hadn’t chosen to travel with such an excellent tour company with great people.

Dina met us at the cable car. She was a life saver, letting us use her wifi as we had had disaster back in South Africa. Incredibly kind and professional. Our tour guide Chris was amazing, he spoke perfect English, drove carefully though the winding streets. He took us to stunning sights and took photos of us.

This tour was incredible. The owner of the company went way above and beyond for my daughter and I. They accommodated a last minute change in schedule with no issues at all. The groups were small 6-8 people and vehicles were very comfortable. The driver was excellent and gave us information from start to finish. The price was also excellent.

Both the tour operator and our driver Thomas provided and outstanding experience. With Thomas we explored the various aspects of the island and were able to enjoy ample amounts of time at our favorite stops. We explored towns and areas off the beaten path of the tourist traps and soaked up Santorini’s rich, natural beauty.

We got to see everything you need to see on our private tour in a nice air conditioned van. Started at our hotel in Imerovigli,went through Fira, all way to archaeological site on southern island, lunch and relaxing at Perivolos black beach,stop ay an amazing village with a castle, and finished up north in Oia. Stopped for many pictures. Driver Ares was amazing. Do Santorini in a day and stay away from cruise ship crush.

We were able to just have a private drive with Chris and went to the outlook them Oia for an hour. Later went along coast up to the Monastery and the highest point. We stopped by a winery and witnessed a wedding. We went to Black Beach and then back to the cable car area before returning to the ship.

We randomly walked in to their office and Dina sorted us with a fantastic trip out to Oia to see the sunset. She booked as top table at a fab restaurant to view it from. Our driver Sam was knowledgeable and took us to several classic spots for photo ops. He left us to wander and have dinner and picked us up later.
The price was very reasonable for 4 of us and sure beat hiring a car and driving ourselves on these crazy roads.
